So a shop called Maverick's was having their Black Friday event today, bringing in over 40K comics for sale at 50 cents to a dollar each. My wife was going shopping near there, so dropped me off. They had an offer of fill a long box (or in my case 2 short boxes) with 50 cent comics for $40, ao I bit on it...

somehow I managed to net the same issue twice on 2 different books (a Hawkman issue and a Dark Horse Presents issue, and managed to duplicate 3 other issues I already had, but since I was cramming stuff in to fill the box in a rush in the last 15 minutes before I had to leave, I am not too worried, I got far more for my $40 if I had priced them out at 50 cents each.
Slightly tempted to go back tomorrow, but highly doubt I will...

So looks like DC is going to do what they claimed was beneath them when their sales reps had a column at CBR and switch to biweekly i.e. double-shipping books starting in 2016, also looks like they are going to up the cover price o $3.99 (for those not already at $3.99) for all the double-shipping books. SO form it's just a marketing gimmick and money grab by Marvel we would never do because it hurts the quality of the books coming out and is unfair to our fans (DC's previous position) to well we can't beat them so might as well join them.
Good job DC, way to eat your own words.

So after not having a pull list since Nov of 2014, I went and set one up, and got my first books this week...
only 3 books on the pull list (well 4 if you count the Bone Anniversary one-shot I pre-ordered) and 2 came out this week...
Future Quest #1
Micronauts #2 (I got #1 off the racks before I set up the pull).
Yes I am in my 40s and reliving my childhood basking in some of my favorite Saturday morning cartoons and favorite toys form the 70s...reimagnined for today, and loving it. Haven't been this excited for new comics in a long time.
Felt weird to be going to a comic shop again (a different one as the one here in town is in the process of closing its doors this month).
