So, first issue is up before I disappear to Spain for a week.
Sorry it's a bit long...I've edited it as best I can, but I wanted to try and get it up as soon as I could before the Holiday.
Hope you enjoy it's...a bit of a departure.

This was a great first chapter of a book, and that's more a good thing than a bad thing. The fact that it's one scene means there's obviously no lack of focus like Snetinels started with, but it also means the focus doesn't feel as broad as it should. There's a lot of talk about these gods but we mostly see the reaction of a human and so we don't really see how tem being gods effects them. Also I hate Orion so much, which I feel I'm supposed to so good work there.

I really liked this. While Orion, Donna and Diana are slightly less than developed, I have a really good idea of who Cassie is as a person. Which is good since she's your POV character. I didn't get an idea of her age, which, to me is a problem. The biggest problem stems from the fact that she's clearly not the age she is in the comics. When making a change from the source material, it is important to lay out what those changes are.
Otherwise, I loved it. From this issue, it looks like it's not so much a Wonder Woman title, but a Fourth World/New Gods title with the Wonder Woman mythos leading the action, which is fine. I was going to do something similar with a Green Lantern idea I had. I'm not sure where this is going, but there's something to be said for the reader to be as in the dark as the main character.
Keep it up!

Hitmonkey - Thanks for the review - Glad you hate Orion, but, I don't want you to hate him forever! He's just a tough love kind of guy.
One of the things I wanted to do with WW was give it a human focus, because that was where I fell down in the opening of Sentinel's, it wasn't grounded. To be fair, this might be too grounded...so I've not yet hit the happy medium. In my defense, Gods are only what you make of them, and how you build them up...and that, really, is the crux of the series.
Plus, Fighitng.
Miller - Cassie is our view into the world of mental stuff, so she needed to be built first, though I appreciate that Orion, Diana and Donna, most of all, are just...there.
So, OK, I understand the age thing - that didn't occur to me, and I will address it in the next issue. So, also, I would have to ask...how old do we think Cassie is in the comics? 'Cause I mentally place here around 17-18 years old. Does that fit everyone else's expectations?
Yeah, this is if Wonder Woman was related to Gods, etc, rather than the sort of "Emmissary of Compassion" business. I get it, and all, but, like Sentinel's I thought about it all and saw an opportunity to do something a bit...off kilter, I suppose? I was always more interested in the Gods element than the "Island of Ladies who hate Men but want to send someone out to defend them" thingy.
I hope that you will enjoy the ride I intend to take you all on, down the route of Gods and Monsters, alongside the world of Urban Magic and Elementals in Sentinel's. I realise that these two titles are something of a departure from the norm, and that might not necessarily be everyone's cup of tea, but I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoy writing it and coming up with it.
One thing that i genuinely concerned about really, is that as MRP said in the other review thread - at the moment, I have good ideas but the execution is lacking. I hope that in the process of writing and planning these titles, my execution will become better and my plotting tighter and stronger.
Thanks for the Revs, guys.

I really enjoyed this. It's a lengthy scene, but it accomplishes the main task it needed to - giving you a quasi-data-dump in a fashion that leaves you with enough unanswered questions to keep a reader coming coming back. I wish I found Diana to be a more likable character. A very good opening shot.

Thanks TK,
Don't worry about disliking Diana. She's not going to be the focus of the series, but, I will try and inject a bit of empathy into her. She's a bit staid at present.
