On this day in 1991, Bo Jackson suffered a hip injury in a playoff game for the Raiders that eventually ended his promising NFL and MLB careers before they reached their full potential. Bo is my favorite athlete of all time still and was the closest I've ever seen to a human being capable of doing what we imagine super-heroes can. He was a human highlight reel.
