Playing with the format for how I might do Star Hunters...a possible template for the old school Sunday stip format I am considering... Not sure yet...just playing with some ideas and Autobook sketchbook express... -M

Playing with some format ideas as I said. Claw will be straight prose like is traditionally done for the site, but I am playing with the length of the installments, trying to have most of them be done in one short stories, but even some of the sword & sorcery shorts that were done in one had chapter breaks within the one it appeared in. Possibility of a spot illustration of a chapter illo for these not sure... Looking at the Flash Gordon style Sunday page for Star Hunters... something like this... as an installment but doing 2-4 installments per "issue" of Weird Worlds... Hawkworld is shaping up to be a hybrid like Gil Kane's Black Mark format...kind of illustrated text.. Stalker and Starfire are undetermined, likely prose based because of time constraints. Again, I am taking my time and doing htis for fun, but the way I want to play with storytelling, which is why I went for the Elseworlds route rather than the shared sandbox-I want to play with things, experiment, etc. maybe get some feedback, but not hold up or be held up by others. Progress well may be slow, but I do hope to have content appear regularly, just not sure how much, how fast... -M

Got a good chunk of the first Claw chapter written in longhand today. I am going back to longhand for first drafts as I did with Books of Magic when I started to force myself to ensure there is a layer of revision/editing in the writing process, and so I don't lose focus on writing by tying to proofread typos as I go.

Almost done with the first draft of the first Claw story in long hand. Couple of bits I am not sure I like how they played out, so will need some serious revision as I go into the typed drafts, and I need to go over it with an worldbuilding/editor's eye to make sure I am consistent with the world I am presenting and don't contradict myself as I wrote the first draft focused on story and character, not world details.

I just broke the first issue/arc of Flash. It was originally going to be more or less a straight re-telling of my first arc on the old site and the entire run was just going to be fleshing out the Barry stuff rather than running straight to Wally, but I decided against that. I've made some changes I'm really excited about.
There's going to be a little bit more self discovery from Barry rather than have a Merlin/Obi-Wan type character in the form of Max Mercury to show him the ropes from day one.
My goal is to have my issue up by the end of Next week. Very excited to allow you guys to read it.

Looking forward to Flash - Sentinel's #5 is mostly written, but I half wrote the first scene, and...I had a great idea, then I went and did something else and have totally lost it! Argh. So annoying.
Wonder Woman #1 is also started, and I am about three pages in, but...I'm not happy with it. I'm suffering from that #1 issue....issue, where I write and it just doesn't feel like a #1, it feels like, exposition with an occasional reference to Sentinel's, which ain't what I am supposed to be writing! So, I am making progress, but treading water at the same time. Most frustrating!

Working on the cover for Weird Worlds #1 using sketchbook express...it will feature the capital city of Thanagar...a floating city dominated by Egyptian/Horus imagery and featuring a large coliseum in the heart of the city.... first pass on the pencils... -M

Disaster #1 is done, but it will likely be the first week of May before I get it up due to some very painful issues with my teeth.

Looking forward to Diaster - he really became a favourite character of mine during Justice League Elite, and his time with the Justice League proper - such a shame he got dropped and returned to being a villain. Bit like Sandman at Marvel..a story of redemption that was awesome.
As far as my own progress goes, things have been slow. Big presentation on Wednesday, so that is draining mental abilities, and the fact I forgot how I was going to revise Calculus...UGH. So annoying.

Sorry to double post - been a hellish week in terms of presentations etc, so I will be trying to relax this weekend.
I am working from home Friday, which is normally the equivalent of doing the square route of sweet FA. So, hopefully, I can finish Sentinel's and get the bulk of Wonder Woman done.
I'm quite excited about WW, it's just a case of...how to start it? It all ties into Setinel's quite well (hence my choosing it...)

Hows it all going guys?
Still working away at UWW #1, and also for Sentinel's #5. I notice we've got Disaster up, but when are we going to see Flash, or Weird Worlds?! I'm looking forward to those two.
Any idea, or has anyone heard from Wacther?

Right! Wonder Woman is complete! Just needs an edit, and some infill of descriptions.
Sentinel's is a bit harder, as I have put myself off with the forgetting of how to characterise Calculus, so that has annoyed me. I think I just need to sit down and rework it!
Hopefully, either an update this weekend, or extremely soon.

Hey Hawksmoor-the art on the Wonder Woman title page...is that your work or found art? I like it either way, but curious who that artist was....

God, if only I could draw like that. That is the immensely talented lines of Cliff Chiang, artist of Nu52 Wonder Woman, the best looking comic before Jesus Saiz started on Swamp Thing

Slowly, slowly making progress. The first chapter of the first Claw short story is written, typed and edited, in the process of revising the second chapter, the third is mostly done in manuscript, and the fourth is outlined. I won't post any parts until it is complete in case changes/revisions need to be made in earlier chapters as I work on the later chapters. The pencils are done for the "cover" of the first issue and breakdowns are done on a frontispiece. Work has been crazy busy with the warmer weather hitting and Mother's Day, plus we have been a little short-staffed, so I haven't had as much time to work on stuff as I had hoped, but I am making progress.

I'm looking at getting something up by the end of next week. I'm going to be at my girlfriend's, but she works during the day, so I'll be doing a fair bit of writing. Last time I had a full week off, I wrote 3 issues of something and it was my favorite work I've done. So, yeah, she has the weekend off (through Monday), so I won't be here too much then, but afterwards...

In my week of time off, I ended up getting sick, so that kind of cut into things. I'm starting to feel better, but not enough to be active and do things, so I'm hoping to lock myself in my room tomorrow and Sunday and produce something. I am very excited for how the story is taking shape though.

Good to know, Miller.
I've been on the slow burn a little bit since I've been back from holiday - was supposed to get some writing done on Friday, but work got in the way!
Sentinel's will be next to be updated, with the second issue of Wonder Woman a quick follow after!

Been in a creative funk the past couple of weeks. Nothing is flowing and when I look at what I have gotten down on paper, I hate it and end up tossing it, so no real progress being made currently. Not sure what the deal is, but nothing seems to be working creatively at the moment and I am hoping I can just ride this out, but we'll see.

Hey guys sorry I've been somewhat silent lately. I've been dealing with a few things which have me way behind of schedule with Disaster.I'm hoping to remedy that soon, but just haven't been able to make time for writing the last week. I'll keep you guys updated.

So, I had a bit of difficulty hitting my stride with the first issue of Society. Luckily, the creative juices have been flowing and I'll have it up within 24 hours. Still a little fleshing out to do at the beginning and final edits.

I am finishing the first draft of my first issue now and will do a quick edit tomorrow and then a more extensive edit on Wednesday. I want to have it up Wednesday night, but no promises.
I'm thinking of giving Buck a co-writing credit as he really helped me break the story.

Had a power outage yesterday That fried my desktop's monitor. I am using my wife's laptop for a few minutes to check in but until I get a new monitor I am mostly going to be absent. Also all my drafts are on the desktop so won't be able to pull them up until I get a new monitor next week, so won't likely be making any progress until then. Sorry folks,
