NOTE: All rules are subject to a case by case basis. They are to act more as guidelines for how we wish this site to run, not as dogmatic laws brought to you be divine right. If a rule isn’t working, we will certainly change it and we are open to suggestions!
Titles
1. Writers may claim up to three titles.
2. Writers may claim their first title at anytime.
3. Writers may not claim a second title until they have four issues of their first title published. A third title can be claimed after the second title reaches four issues.
4. A team title can start with up to 20 claims and a solo title starts with up to 17 claims.
5. All titles must be claimed with the intent of it being ongoing. Life can always get in the way, but do not claim a title if you only have enough stories to barely clear the origin.
6. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Green Arrow, Aquaman & Hawkman must have their own solo title and cannot be claimed in a team or as villain/support.
Claims
1. Additional characters can be claimed after you write two issues.
2. After your second issue is published you are eligible for 2 additional claims per month.
3. You can earn an extra claim by reviewing 4 titles or 50% of the posted titles in a given month.
4. Characters can be claimed in categories of Hero, Villain, Support, and Undefined.
5. Writers have the ability to claim wallpaper characters; minor characters that would be stolen of their identities without the character they are associated with or characters that were only shallowly updated during the Silver Age such as Black Canary, Wonder Woman and Hawkman.
6. Group claims are allowed but under a case by case basis. You will likely be required to claim two characters and then the team name.
Elseworlds
The Elseworlds board is free from the main continuity and only requires the writer to inform the admins of the board name and subtitle. No claims are necessary and their are no restrictions on number of titles.
Deadlines
1. All titles must be updated bi-monthly.
2. If you are unable to get your title up ni-monthly, inform the admins and let them know how long you expect it to take. Most reasonable extension requests will be allowed.
3. If deadlines are continuously a problem, your title claiming will be curtailed.
