So, guys, I think we're all fans of big storylines and things like that - Don't worry, I am not proposing a cross-over event or anything, but, how do you guys keep your storylines from spiraling, violently, out of control?
See, ordinarily, I have a story I want to tell (mostly concept driven to be honest) and for Sentinel's I have a story...it's just...a colossus of a story. Every time I think on it a bit more, I develop new ideas and concepts for older characters. I think we've got a pretty even and decent spread of concepts here, from the Flash, to Batman, a period piece for JSA, and whatever the hell Sentinels is.
For example, When MRP was here, we spoke a lot about Doctor Fate, and the Question - his story was a much more Lovecraftian take on things, where as mine is...again, whatever the hell it is, the Anti-Swamp Thing? But we had a few chats about Doctor Fate, his take, what mine would have been, same for the Question. Since he's gone, I find that my mind flickers over to the Doctor Fate, the Question, even Xanadu and Corrigan (he'd make a great opportunity for a crossover with Batman, likewise, Fate with JSA, and probably, Question with Flash....but again, NOT PROPOSING A CROSSOVER.)
Just wondering what you guys do? I'm filling a notebook with concepts and ideas for the characters I have, and their respective "Mythologies". Does anyone else do this?

I usually spend the night after writing continuing to write in my head sometimes to the point I have to get back up and write it down because THE VOICES WON'T SHUT UP. I also use either a picture or a song to motivate me. I do have profiles for the Young Rogues and I am actually starting off each issue like they do in a lot of comics (at least from previews and when I last read them) with a recap bit and brief blurb of the characters that have been introduced and possibly what they just did. After I do get my issues up (right now I'm trying to get all of them finished as much as I can so I don't feel the need to overload myself with characters), I'll start posting my Flash Bible. Can't really do it now since so much of it remains a mystery. Especially the likes of Thawne and Allen.
I do normally think big. God knows this. But I'm trying to do the opposite this time. I'm keeping everything standalone and restricted with only minor setup for the next volume of Flash. It's part of the reason why I'm keeping myself held back so that I don't go out there and claim all I want and need for the long term since I'm trying to think only in terms of "The Current Volume."
As for the NOT CROSSOVER. Honestly, after Young Rogues, I was gonna suggest you take Abra Kadabra. Seems like he is the perfect fusion for Sentinels and he's a Rogue I want to have existed but I don't honestly care or have any plans for.
